An attempt to fix the problem somehow? If complaining is as far as someone ever gets...it doesn't really get at the root of the problem, does it? It might make them feel better for a while, but the real trouble will still be there.

I'm not entirely sure about social problems, but I believe I'm at least adept at fixing physical things.

Physical things are very, very different to fix. And much easier, as well.
